Big pile of trees cleared on RF.

Does anyone know if trees on Reedy Fork still need to be cleared? They were there Friday evening but I didn't have my saw. I am going in with a chainsaw after 5:00 pm on Tuesday because of one larger tree on trail. If anyone has an update or knows if trail has been cleared, please let me know by tomorrow. Thanks!

Thanks for the brief description, Tyler.

I am on an emergency trip to Miami and not able to help at all with trail build or tree clearing.

Come one! Come All! Its not funny anymore, God of trees. Why do trees have to fall at the farthest point away from trail entrance?

Picture of my neighbors house with a..., well you can see for yourself. They are OK. No one was hurt, and yes, they were inside when it happened. They just have to deal with pain of house repairs.

Heavy winds fell trees. We sawyers really appreciate if you happen to see a felled tree across the trail and you report it here. A brief description of size and location of felled tree is great. A picture with bike near it is really helpful also to determine size of tree. This will help us in deciding if we need a chain saw or a handsaw to clear. Approximate millage from trail entrance is key.

Thanks everyone!

It was an easy tree to clear this time, Matt. It only took one cut, moved it to the side and done. It took more time to take the handsaw out of my pack.

There is a new tree down on Reedy Fork - maybe halfway between the LB road trail head and the first access to Plainfield. Medium size pine - should be manageable with a hand saw.

Thanks for the info cullenfish! Reedy Fork is now clear. I also rode WT looking for more trees and dang it's looking and riding really nice!

Please post up here if any trees have fallen over trail in Greensboro that needs clean up. It will be appreciated if you can give location, a picture of tree or at least size to determine how much gear is needed for cleanup.

There was a large tree on Copperhead trail and I cleared it up.

Ride on!

You could just skip the dirt and go roadie like these folks; not the kind of road bike we normally see around our streets though...

Rick thanks for all the help on the sawing. I'm guessing your hand feel it today, mine do:)

Ohhh, I wish it were just my hands... Nothing 4 advils at once couldn't handle.

I will not be able to make the 25th.

Great job everyone! It's nice to get out and build trail after a few months of hiding for me.

Mark, I'm tied up with work and life and very happily tied with all of it. Not sure if I will be available to help in the next couple of months.

Thanks Laura!

I suspected the Friends of Mountain to the Sea folks may have taken charge or the wood chuck ninjas. Quick work! Your comment makes sense with the tweet that was sent last night about City requesting users to use other trails.
